Take a trip back in time as we visit the LG booth at Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona, Spain.
LG had their LG KF700, LF Viewty, and KG KF510 on deck for all to play with. We managed to work our way through the crowd and get some hands-on time with a couple of the new-comers. Videos of the handsets to follow…

If the ad above proves to be legit, Alltel will be rolling out the new LG Glimmer in the near future. The new phone has design elements from two other LG models, Shine and Viewty, and will probably be one of the prettiest phones in Alltel's portfolio. As for the specs, there's a 2.8" capacitive touchscreen, numeric slider, 2 megapixel camera with flash light, EV-DO, Bluetooth and microSD slot. Sounds cool, especially for Alltel which is usually among the last carriers to get the cool phones. Let's hope we won't have to wait an eternity to see the Glimmer out.

The KT610 was thought to have a VGA screen. That is incorrect. It is actually QVGA, same old resolution we've had for years. It just went from interesting to useless, but it is a step in the right direction. LG is targeting the mid range market with a QWERTY device, a form factor in a market segment that I feel isn't being tapped into as much as it possibly can be.
Many people don't want to spend more than 300 Euros on a device, but they would like QWERTY, help them out phone makers.

No specs, just a model number and a picture, looks like it will be announced in less than 24 hours:

LG just announced the KT610, an HSDPA and GPS equipped QWERTY device running S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1. They haven't released any images and the only things we know is that the screen is 2.4 inches and flips. Who on earth decided to release a press release without images?!

Update: After you read a million press releases you tend to skip words since they're usually the same. I shouldn't have done that in this case, Steve from All About Symbian noted that this device has a VGA (640×480) resolution screen! Certainly hope that isn't a typo.
